Pastor Hamiyd Washington is a passionate and dedicated Levitical vessel of Christ who has been committed to the work of the Lord for over twenty years. He is a highly discerning spiritual leader who is dedicated to empowering God’s people to actively exhibit agape love, fun, and harmonious fellowship by teaching sound Biblical principles of hospitality and management.
Pastor Washington was born Hamiyd Abdullah Muhammad on October 19 in Philadelphia, Pa to Earline Washington and Michael Jones, into the Islamic religion. He came to the knowledge of Christ through tragedy on January 1985. While preparing for his grandmother’s funeral, his mother was taken out by gun violence at the hands of a jealous ex-boyfriend. Later that year, he and his siblings moved to Atlantic City to live with their Aunt.
He joined the Community Baptist Church in Atlantic City and gave his life to the Lord. There his passion for serving was ignited. He was part of the Jr. deacons and all of the choirs, eventually becoming a Sunday School teacher and then the Assistant Superintendent.
Pastor Washington knew there was a call on his life at age 19 and on September 1, 1996, he was ordained to minister the Gospel. Since then, his ministry has significantly impacted the lives of many inner city children and young adults.
He is known for his fun and bubbly personality which lifts the spirits of those around him. He operates strongly in the gifts of hospitality, leadership and servant-hood. His extensive knowledge in hospitality allows him to train ambassadors of Christ to build world class excellence within the Ekklessia. He is a multi-talented business consultant and teacher who has various training courses ranging from graphic arts to divinity.
Pastor Washington, a humble and relational servant, has five great attributes in life who are his children, Tiana, Zion, DaVon, Aniya and Jozua.
