The Legacy
Dr. Alberta Johnson heard the voice of the Lord speak to her. She answered the call and established a church in 1977, a time where women Pastors were unlikely and sometimes not well received. God told her that the church would be a light on a hill for all to see. She had strong faith in God and despite the struggle of traveling from Millville, NJ to Egg Harbor City, NJ every Sunday, she persevered. She transported her congregation every Sunday for service with the motto "A Church Alive is Worth the Drive" to keep everyone motivated for the hour long drive to St James Bible Deliverance Evangelistic Association. The services were awesome and congregation grew. God anointed St James Bible Deliverance because of the obedience of Dr Alberta Johnson.
By 1980, her daughter Peaches, was ordained to preach the Word of God. She functioned in every capacity needed to run the church. Long after Dr Johnson established the church, Pastor Peaches Bedford became the Senior Pastor. Her teaching was direct, firm and assertive to help build up her members in the admonition of the Lord. The revelation she received from the Lord was profound and applicable in every walk of life. After many years, God pruned the ministry and made room for what He had spoken over the ministry long ago. Throughout the process, Pastor Peaches was faithful and devout to ministry; she kept the doors of the church opened for those who needed a powerful word from God.
On Resurrection Sunday, in 2013, Pastor Peaches daughter, Robbin Hargrove, stepped up to bring forth the message. Though a two to four member congregation sat before her, she continued to minister every Sunday and on October 13, 2013 Robbin Hargrove was installed as the Senior Pastor of St James Bible Deliverance. Under the covering of the Alliance of Eagles Fellowship with Apostle Kim A. Davis (Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church) as the presiding Apostle and Apostle Eugene Smith (Better Covenant Global Ministries, Detroit Michigan) as the Chief Apostle, The Embassy was firmly established with prophecy, wisdom, and direction.
The Lord gave Pastor Robbin a diverse kingdom vision and she rightly aligned and re-established the church as The Embassy: St James Bible Deliverance with a focus of training Kingdom Ambassadors. Pastor Robbin brought with her many years of experience and two other ministries; AHEART (a non profit organization dedicated to providing free emergency infant items to families with infants under age 2) and Women of Deliverance (an anointed women's deliverance ministry comprised of women from various churches from all over Southern New Jersey). Her kingdom mindset makes The Embassy a safe haven for all those who have experienced church hurt and brokenness as well as those who have a heart to follow the great commission.
The Embassy never looks for membership, but for partners in the Kingdom of God. The Embassy's vision is to Identify the gift that God planted inside, Train each partner in their respective ministry, and then Send each partner to work for the edifying of God's kingdom. Under Pastor Robbin's leadership God has blessed The Embassy to ordain 25 partners into leadership positions including Associate Pastors, Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Teachers, and Administrators. The Embassy has over 30 ministries and is growing expeditiously. A true testimony to the fruit of Pastor Robbin are the partners whose lives have been forever changed. The foundation scripture for The Embassy is 2 Corinthians 5:20.
On Resurrection Sunday, April 1, 2018, The Embassy expanded to Vineland, New Jersey. The new house of worship is called the House of Zion. We are now 1 family with 2 locations.
